How to take out both the USAA and NFCU Career Loans (2025)

If you are a junior officer and are looking to take out the career loan from both the USAA and NCFU, it's a relatively simple process, but you need to make sure you need to take them out in a certain order or you will be unable to take out both.

You must take out the loan from the NFCU before taking it from USAA. The NCFU has a explicit stipulation in their loan contract that you cannot already have a loan from USAA, but the career loan from USAA has no such stipulation.

You do not need to have a direct deposit with both institutions or have to set up an allotment. USAA recently removed any direct deposit requirement for their career starter loan.
